Cost of Care
How Much Does In-Home Care Cost?
- Home care agency fees are hourly, and are negotiable to some degree. These fees cover all the costs of the caregiver including wages, taxes and workmen’s compensation insurance as well as case management.
- Hourly rates vary by location and by services but are typically $18-28 per hour.
- The rates below are for assistance that does not require a skilled medical professional such as a nurse or physical therapist. This is called home care (vs. home health).
- Long-Term Care at home is far more cost effective than either Assisted Living or Nursing Homes.
